What is temperature control valve?
Temperature control valves are used to control fluid temperatures in turbines, compressors, and engine jacket water and lubrication oil cooling systems. They are suitable for process control and industrial applications where fluids must be mixed or diverted to achieve optimal temperatures.
What is an AMOT valve?
AMOT air/gas control valves are rugged, compact and fast acting. They are designed for use in a variety of environments to shut down a gas engine, act as an air starting valve, or to provide gas fuel metering for industrial gas turbines.
How does a AMOT valve work?
AMOT pioneered this technology in 1948 when we introduced into our valve design a special wax that remains in a semi-solid form and is highly sensitive to temperature changes. As the temperature of the fluid changes, it causes the wax to expand or contract which slides the valve up or down, opening or closing ports.
How does a three way temperature control valve work?
A 3-way control valve shuts off water flow in one pipe while opening water flow in another pipe. In a modulating or 3-point floating application the valve can also mix water from two different pipes into one pipe or divert water from one pipe into two different pipes.
How does a temp control valve work?
If the temperature of the cold fluid is above set point, the controller initiates a control action by sending a signal to the temperature control valve, TCV, to either open or close to control the temperature of the cold fluid.
How does a 3-way check valve work?
A 3-way ball valve works by turning the handle, which rotates a ball in the valve body, to align the cut-out channels in the ball with the inlets and outlets of the valve. The “L” shape cut-out of the ball on an L-port valve sends fluid through 90 degrees from one port to another.
What is a thermostat vs thermometer?
Are you a thermometer or are you a thermostat? Both devices deal with temperature, but their uses are different. A thermometer simply reflects the temperature, but a thermostat actually determines the temperature. A thermostat can be adjusted and suited to the environment and the needs of the room.
