The advisor was like “we won’t fix this for free”.

Seems like Jeep has had shifter issues for several years now and I think that’s long enough to have things worked out. They should replace the shifters on these that they say need to be replaced, regardless of warranty. Seems to me they shipped vehicle with known bad parts or defective somehow.
