Is Using Stop leak bad for your engine?
Over use of radiator stop leak can plug up your radiator fluid system through the engine,the water pump and thermostat and may cause damage to the engine as a result by not allowing it to cool properly. This is not recommended for a long term fix though as it does cut down the cooling ability of your system.

Does bar’s Stop Leak work?
No. Unlike our cooling system product, Bar’s Leaks Engine Oil Stop Leak has no particles to plug the leak, it works chemically to stop leaks in gaskets and seals.
Does oil Stop Leak work?
Oil stop leak products work by softening and swelling the oil seals, like the cam seal and the front and rear main seals. This shortens the life of the seals, so if the car is high mileage and ALL the seals need replacing or you know the car won’t go much further anyway, no harm.
