2011 Wrangler, same issue. I can manually turn on the interior lights with the button on the dome but they will not come on when I open any of the doors. I replaced the dome light and fuses and still nothing. Also, the shifter light and window switch lights do not work. I have already replaced the 2721 bulb and still no light.

Why are the dome lights not coming on when you open the door?
Turned them on and left them on as suggested, they go out then i open my door and they come back on but only when the light button is pushed down on the overhead and the tailgate lights. once the lights are manually turned off they do not come back on when door opens or when turn signal stalk is rotated all the way.

The lights will not work with stalk either. The dash sees the open door and sings when opened so there’s no issues with the door switches and i have not been able to find any loose or frayed wiring by visual inspection.
