How do I speak to a Rotary Club?
Find Rotary Clubs in your area….Don’t expect to sell much.
- Come at least 15 minutes early to meet and greet the Rotarians and guests (they will feel more connected with you and you might get some more tidbits to use in your presentation).
- Confirm the time you need to finish and do not go even 1 minute over!
Do Rotary speakers get paid?
In every state, there are Rotary Clubs and Chamber of Commerce meetings. These meetings bring in speakers. While the event may not be paid, the opportunity is there. These meetings are for business owners and executives, who have their own events.
Does Rotary Club pay speakers?
If a club invites current or past RI officers or other Rotarians for a visit or event, it is expected to pay the guests’ expenses. RI does not provide clubs with paid speakers on Rotary subjects or secure speakers for clubs. (RCP 7.040.) A speaker is not a requirement of a club meeting.
Is the La Crosse Rotary Lights display free?
Events are on select nights, check out the Event Schedule for more details. With over 3,000,000 lights, you can imagine the breadth and depth of this holiday display. And remember, it’s FREE.
Are there still free hayrides in La Crosse?
Carriage rides will continue as normal, however, the free hayrides on Tuesday evenings are cancelled for this year. Free s’mores will still be available at the fire pit, supplies will be individually packaged. Helicopter rides will be offered again this year. And we have a few additions this year!
When does the ice rink open in La Crosse?
In 2020, the ice rink will open when the weather allows, however, free skate rental and the skating warming trailer will be closed. Please bring your own skates. The heated igloo will be available for changing and warming up.
Is there a hologram display at La Crosse?
A brand new sleigh will be available to take photos, we will now have heated restrooms available on both the north and south ends of the park, and we will have a brand new hologram display. Events are on select nights, check out the Event Schedule for more details.
