How do you become a certified planner?
To become certified, a planner must have a specified combination of relevant education and professional experience, must pass an examination that tests skills and knowledge, must pay an annual fee, and must be a member of the American Planning Association in good standing.
Who can take AICP exam?
If you are currently enrolled in or have graduated from a degree program accredited by the PAB, you are eligible to participate in the AICP Candidate Pilot Program. This program allows you to take the AICP Certification Exam upon graduation, prior to completing your professional planning experience.
What is a passing score for AICP?
You will receive an Official Score Report via email as soon as you complete the computerized AICP Certification Exam. Scores are reported on a scale of 25–75, and 55 is the passing score. The score you receive is final. You can access a copy of your score report at scorereports.prometric.com.
How many times can you take AICP exam?
AICP exam applications are approved for 6 consecutive exam cycles. Members may take the exam a maximum of 6 times (once each cycle).
