How do you open the trunk on a Nissan Rogue?
Re: trunk release inside the rogue? (Leo2005) Activate the release button on the hatch without lifting. The hatch will unlock but the secondary safety latch will prevent the hatch from opening freely. You need something to push the hatch open about 1″ to clear the catch.
Why is the back hatch on my Nissan Rogue not opening?
SOURCE: My rear hatch and glass hatch will not open from the outside. This is extremely common! The micro-switch inside the glass hatch release is faulty, telling the door that it is partially depressed, thus shutting down opening for safety reasons.
