Are dogs allowed at Turnbull Wildlife Refuge?
Some of the features here include a 5-mile auto tour, interpretive signage, environmental education sites, plenty of multi-use trails, and about 2,300 acres for public use. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional fee. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
Can you fish in Turnbull Wildlife Refuge?

The Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge protects a portion of the ‘Channeled Scablands’ of ice age flood fame. The refuge has a 5.5 mile auto route through part of it. This makes a comfortable undulating loop for hikers. (Where else can you walk four or five abreast, with leashed dogs and strollers?).

With over 130 marshes, wetlands and lakes, a visit to the Turnbull Refuge is one you will never forget. Around 15,000 years ago, the Glacial Lake Missoula broke open and within two days over 500 cubic miles of water created an incredible and unusual landscape.
