Do not use this product to treat cold symptoms in children younger than 6 years unless specifically directed by the doctor. Some products (such as long-acting tablets/capsules) are not recommended for use in children younger than 12 years.

Why does Bromfed make sleepy?
Bromfed DM contains brompheniramine, an antihistamine that can make you sleepy. Make sure to take Bromfed DM at home first to see how you will react to it before you take it when you need to be fully awake and alert.
Is Bromfed safe for infants?
Do not use in the newborn, in premature infants, in nursing mothers, or in patients with severe hypertension or severe coronary artery disease. Do not use dextromethorphan in patients receiving monoamine oxidase (MAOI) inhibitors (see PRECAUTIONS – Drug Interactions).

Using diphenhydrAMINE together with brompheniramine may increase side effects such as drowsiness, blurred vision, dry mouth, heat intolerance, flushing, decreased sweating, difficulty urinating, abdominal cramping, constipation, irregular heartbeat, confusion, and memory problems.
Can toddler take Tylenol and Bromfed together?
No interactions were found between Bromfed and Tylenol. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
