Why is the radio not working on my Jeep?
I shut the Jeep off and restarted and the same thing. No sound and no response from volume controls. No radio, no CD. I shut it off again for about 5 minutes then it started working normally when I restarted it. I dont have the radio option code in front of me but it’s AM/FM/Sirius with voice control and U-connect.

It will probably need to be replaced. If you haven’t tried disconnecting it and reconnecting you may try that but the radios a finicky at best to begin with. You can buy a replacement screen but if I remember, my pioneer HU and the canbus adapter were less. Also the stock 730 cuts the lows to “protect” the amp. When my screen died I sold it on ebay for $100. WF approved Offical Jeep Account.

I called and SPOKE to the service contact Robbie at LHM Jeep on 104th in Westminster, Colorado and told him that the electrical issues were persisting and becoming worse. The radio does not require that operation to stay in AM,FM or CD mode as you can switch off the car with the radio on and it goes back to the mode you left it in. Seems to me a true design bug! I don’t think it’s worth fighting, but one of my first (minor) disappointments with this new vehicle.

I took my whole dash apart and traced the FM antenna wire as far as I could without dismantling the entire front end of my jeep. I was able to trace it all the way to the fire wall on the passenger side, but couldn’t find how to access it from there through the side of the jeep and to the actual antenna.
