Re: Radio not turning off when open door. Check the wiring harness between a-pillar and door, you’ll probably find some broken wires there. If it is so, do yourself a favour and replace the whole harness, because fixing the broken wires won’t last long.
Why is my WD40 radio not turning off?
The problem turned out to be intermittent. Usually, closing the door and re-opening will tun the radio off. Even if not, it will eventually turn off while the truck sits parked. Sometimes turning it on and off and reopening the door will turn it off. I’ll try the WD-40 fix.

Sounds like you have a door ajar switch bad. spray some PB BLASTER lube available at parts store on the driver door latch assembley soak the latch assembley really good then open and close door 10 to 15 times and see if radio goes off. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address.

there is a push pin in the ignition when the key is taken out the pin closes and radio etc goes off. spray some wd40 in the ignition and pushe key in and out a few times should free it up. Radio on chrysler 300 won’t shut off when key is turned off. When i open the door the radio shuts off. This is actually normal.

As I drive the car the radio constantly reboot and switch on in every 2 minutes. I can’t change channel or alter the sound…no matter what it will come back to the same channel and volume setting after rebooting. Why is this happening?
