Why is my Jeep TJ Wrangler not returning to 1st gear?
A potential buyer informed the salesman that it was not returning to 1st gear after stopping. Dealership had the transmission rebuilt at a local Transmission shop. Roughly a month later I buy the jeep and experience my problem. Jeep is returned to the same Transmission shop for repair.

NO EXCELLERATION WHEN DRIVING UP AN INCLINE. TPS is bad, poor fuel economy, hesitation, cutting out. Just plain running like poop! It was running fine and than started backfiring and was undrivable.Turned off and it wouldn’t start. Cleaned fuel rail and injectors. This seemed to fix problem.

When does the Jeep Wrangler throttle position sensor fail?
It will start to do this when in gear running down the street and it is noticeable to the peddle. When you take your foot off the peddle the idle accelerates to 3000 rpm and you can’t shift…. I replaced the throttle positioning censor twice already, and it still does it.
