Why is my bike dying when I accelerate?

Why is my bike dying when I accelerate?

As you accelerate, your motorcycle will continue to spray fuel but won’t have any air to mix it with. This causes your motorcycle to run rich on fuel. The improper air-fuel mixture will cause your motorcycle to lose power.

Why does my bike die when I give it throttle?

I put fresh gas in it and kicked it over and let it run at idle for about 10 minutes. After I let it warm up, I gave it some throttle and it dies on me. It seems to idle fine but whenever I give it the smallest amount of throttle is dies on me. Any ideas what’s causing it?

Why does my Kawasaki Kawasaki idle when throttle is applied?

Even if the carb was brand new, there may have been dirt in the lines between the filter and the carb and that dirt may now be in your carb plugging the pilot jet. If that is the case, the fix is to replace all fuel lines and clean the pilot jet in the carb. Sounds like a clogged pilot jet.

What’s the idle speed on a Yamaha bike?

The bike hasn’t been running to my knowledge for 4-5 months. Prior to my purchase the previous owner, a friend, said he cleaned the carbs. Basically, she’ll start up fine and idle around 1500-2000 rpm (full choke) but upon going to 1/2 choke or giving her any throttle, she dies.

What happens when you cut fuel to the CARB?

Because if I cut the fuel to the carb, the fuel in the bowl goes down, closing the float controlled needle valve. But that doesn’t sound right because the fuel level test I did measured on the low side of the tolerance scale. What do you think???
