I have an 03 Yukon and when I get in the car, SOMETIMES this Car / lock icon comes up and then goes away and the car starts fine. The problem comes when the icon stays blinking while the key is in the ignition. So as I am turning the key to turn the car on, it wants to turn on but then goes off right away.
