Why are my front parking sensors not working?
Diagnostic test on sensors showed no fault codes but there were 2 front sensors not registering distance on live data. I thought Great. Just replaced these sensors and now all sensors front and back are reading correct.
What does it mean when your parking sensor goes red?
If the two end lights show up red that means there is a definate fault with one or more of the parking sensors. Water shouldn’t effect them unless it gets inside a sensor but again this shouldn’t happen. On another note speed camera radar jammers can also affect the parking sensor.
How do you remove a parking sensor from a car?
You need to remove the inside tail lights to get to some screws, four screws underneath and five each side of the rear wheel well, if you have rear mud flaps they don’t need to be removed. Once all screws are removed just grab the bumper and slid it away from the rear of the vehicle. The sensors are easy to work on once the bumper is off.
Is the parking sensor on my sprinter 906 correct?
Just replaced these sensors and now all sensors front and back are reading correct. But when put in reverse still shows fault on displays 2 red lights each side and fault beeps. It is a sprinter 906 van but similar system to cars.

The error code most commonly associated with the sensors is B1296-12 (PTS Sensor 9-Circuit Short to Battery). Replacing the defective shorted sensor should solve that problem.
