Picked up our machine today and I got the wiring harness with the machine – it attaches to the back of the 12v aux port then the old wires from the aux port hooks into the wiring harness, then it gives you a plug and a spare set of wires. Figured it gives me a simple place to get a switched power source.

Where does the Red Wire go on a badlands winch?

The small red wire coming from the receiver box connects straight to the terminal the red is hooked up to. Then there is another terminal on the other side of the box that has the red wire that goes straight to winch. Probably a dumb question, but should I splice into the small red wire or simply connect it to the same terminal.

So thanks in advance for the help. I have a 2016 Honda Rancher 420 4×4. I recently purchased a Badlands 2500lb winch as well as all of the mounting plates, wiring adapters and fairleads I thought were necessary to install with no drilling or tapping.
