There is a slot on the back of the cover (toward the tire), so you can hold the bike upright and check coolant level. If low, it is added to the reservoir. If the reservoir is dry, it must be added at the top of the front jug under the tank. .

I use Honda coolant, cheaper to buy it at a Honda car dealer by the gallon. It’s made for alum. motors , now you can get the Prestone (or other brands) that are compatable with all types of coolants, but I’ve had the best luck with this. BB Prestone. You can always trust it.
Is it safe to use Auto coolant on a motorcycle?
Been doing some reading and some use motorcycle coolant and others use regular auto coolant. It appears as long as it is a low to no silica formula it is safe. Supposedly the silica can damage the water pump seal. What do you use in your bike? Hyundai Long Life (green).
