What is OmniFuel?

Open the door to your stove and place a firelighter on top of a bed of fuel, such as logs or coal. Cover this stack with kindling, then place more logs, coal, or briquettes around it. The firelighters should be lit directly, and once the fire begins burning consistently, add more fuel as required to keep it lit.

Liquid fuel stoves consist of a tank to hold the fuel, a pump to create pressure in the tank so the fuel will flow out through the fuel line, a valve to control fuel flow, and a burner where the gas mixes with air and burns.

Can you leave the door open on a multi fuel stove?
The simple answer to this question is yes, the stove will work, but it can be up to 60% less efficient than when the door is closed. The fact is that wood-burning stoves and multifuel stoves are designed for use with the door closed.
Can you burn wood and coal together in a multi fuel stove?
Whilst with a multi-fuel stove you can burn both wood and coal, it’s really important that you don’t burn them both together. This is because coal contains sulphuric acid, and wood contains moisture. You can’t burn anything other than wood on a wood-burning stove.

Can you use petrol in a Primus stove?
Our multi-fuel stoves can run on several different fuels, from gas to kerosene and when needs must in an emergency – even aviation fuel (our OmniFuel and OmniLite Ti even run on diesel if required).
