How do you remove TLR rim strips?
Take a flat head screw that is as wide as you can get away with and push it up through the valve hole in the rim to lift the strip. Once you get the strip up and started over the rim edge, slide your finger along the edge of the rim strip to unseat it while pulling it off of the rim.
Do TLR rims need tape?
Tubeless rims are more reliable than tubeless-ready rims because they do not require any tape. Both types of rims require sealant. You can apply the sealant through the valve cap, or pour some of it into the tire before seating it, but it must be in the tire in order to create a reliable seal.

I would not mix unless you absolutely know the chemical formulation. Stans tends to be a “strong” base, noted because of the corrosion on aluminum anodized wheels. Orange Seal not so much in my experience.
