Is the sunroof on my Tiguan Se 4 motion working?
Now I am waiting vw service for repairing or completely changing the sunroof under guarantee… i just purchased a 2009 Tiguan SE 4 Motion on December 30th 2011 and the Panoramic Sunroof won’t always close by turning the dial. 95% of the time after turning the dial to close it the sunroof will move forward 1″ and then back to where it was.
What was the problem with the 2009 VW Tiguan?

Additionally, the electric retractable cover for it also has stopped working. It’s as if they are not getting power. I looked at the fuses, and none appear to be blown (and, the diagram in the back of the Tig manual appears to be wrong, as I have no fuse or fuse jack in the spot where it claims the sunroof fuse should be.)

If it’s a certified vehicle, bring it back and they will fix it. Well the Tig has been in the shop for two weeks straight, they have replaced the Sunroof motor and ignition switch as it has something to do with the sunroof.
What does it mean when sunroof won’t close?
When I went to close, it would go shut, but ultimately stop and pop back up. I’ve read that it means that something is stuck in the track, I don’t see anything.
Why did I pay 80K for sunroof maintenance?
One of the reasons I paid for the 80K maintenance at the dealer in February was because I didn’t want to deal with the sunroof lube. I paid them to perform the job, and it was pretty obvious that the old, hard grease on the tracks was applied at the factory.
