S Class Heater Blower Motor – There is Hope! The heater blower motor on my W220 S320 CDI stopped working so I removed it with a view to replacing it. When removed, I could not turn the fan/motor rotor at all and I thought it would be a straight replacement job.

Ot just an AMG badge on the trunk lid. Checked the air recirculate switch – marked “rest” on the console – it was off. With the car off, I pressed it in so the light lit – the blower fan stopped for a few seconds, then started up at a higher speed.

An interesting side effect is that my newly efficient heater means that the engine is running cold (I had suspected that the thermostat was on the way out anyway). Picked up a replacement today and will fit when Christmas and the family allow. I wish I had sorted all the temperature related problems in the summer!

– Take your boards and screws home. Use the sheet-rock screws to fasten the long board at 90 degrees to the board that goes from the top of the door sill to the ground, making a 12″-wide capital “L”. Fasten the 8″ piece in the inside of the corner to brace the joint.
