Is the power steering on my Pontiac G6 electric?
According to a post earlier in the thread, while 2005-2006’s had electrics, they went back to hydro on the 07’s. My 07 G6 had hydraulic. If it’s electric, it will likely be an electrical connection issue somewhere in the rack. I doubt it’s serviceable, so you’re looking at a replacement rack most likely.

I submitted the following e-mail to the NHTSA regarding my 2010 Pontiac G6 power steering matter. I own a 2010 Pontiac G6 that within the last week incurred a power steering failure. Recall research shows that on March 2014 the NHTSA required GM to issue a recall for this exact problem, however, it only covered the G6 models up to the year 2009.
