Is Haverford College open for tours?
We are excited to welcome prospective students and their families to Haverford. We offer two types of in-person tours, Student-Led and Self-Guided. Registration is required for all tours as group size will be limited. All visitors to campus must follow Admission Visitor Policies for masking and social distancing.
Is Haverford College a party school?
We’re definitely not a big party school, but we’re also very small and parties are basically just getting together with friends, drinking, talking, and just relaxing and having a good time. You make your own party and life on campus doesn’t center around huge frat parties.
Can I get into Haverford?
Haverford admissions is very selective with an acceptance rate of 16%. Students that get into Haverford have an average SAT score between 1380-1540 or an average ACT score of 32-34. The regular admissions application deadline for Haverford is January 15.
Do colleges offer tours on weekends?
Yes! You can visit colleges on weekends. College admissions departments had to come up with weekend college tours to accommodate the schedules of future students who were occupied during the week, and unable to come to regular weekly college tours.

Average GPA: 4.01 With a GPA of 4.01, Haverford College requires you to be at the top of your class. You’ll need nearly straight A’s in all your classes to compete with other applicants. Furthermore, you should be taking hard classes – AP or IB courses – to show that college-level academics is a breeze.

In the mid-1990s, the college actually made a decision: the official nickname would remain “Fords,” Haverford would adopt a mascot in the form of a Black Squirrel (and had a costume made up which, however, resembled a chipmunk) and teams would be free among themselves on campus to call themselves whatever they wanted.

Probably the number one stereotype is that Haverford students are awkward. Second would be cliquey. It has a reputation for being full of ric, preppy kids that contrast the the small selection of glammed up hippies that are there to be anthro majors and save the world upon graduation.
