Two more recommendations: remove the compressor mounting bolts so you have a better angle of approach. Use a small three arm gear puller to remove the old compressor pulley. Ok, one more- always check your compressor clutch relay in the fuse box. If it rattles, replace it. Bought this for my 2007 Civic DX. Once installed my A/C worked wonderfully.

My 2007 Honda Civic AC went out…again. The first time it was due to the clutch relay. The second time, the blower motor (which I purchased on Amazon and easily replaced). This time it was the clutch itself (verified by check showing good voltage at the clutch and visually seeing that the assembly itself is not turning while running).

I rented a fan clutch tool from an auto parts store. You will also need some good Snap Ring pliers, 12mm, and a 14mm socket. You will need to take the tire off to get to the nut on the clutch. You will also need to take the 4 bolts out of the A/C unit to remove it from the engine.
