How does a power door lock lock by themselves?
Re: Power Door locks, locking by themselves. I have the exact same problem, both doors lock when I open the drivers side. not the passenger side. It locks the instant the dome light illuminates. So my guess is when the drivers door ajar switch closes (which also illums the dome) its maybe grounding out the locking actuator?

Do the other door locks work when the lock switch on the driver’s door is operated? Have you tried pressing the unlock button 2 times quickly to see if the second press unlocks the other doors; this is how my Toyota works.
