Take the 14-gauge wire and shape it into a hook shape using the needle nose pliers. Then, slide the hook into one of the holes on the inside of the baffle. Clamp the vice grips to the baffle, and then hit the vice grips with the mallet. This is going to free up the baffle and allow it to be removed.
What kind of slip ons do Screaming Eagle use?
Seriously, the Screaming Eagle slip-ons made very little difference. I then replaced my stock mufflers with a set of Rush baloney-cut slip-ons, and the volume and tone are perfect (for me, that is). Deep, really do bark when opened up, but not so loud you can’t hear the stereo and get pulled over all the time.

Can you get Stage 1 / 4 on a Screamin Eagle?
There are a few myths concerning “Stage 1/4” and “Stage 1/2” but these would be best disregarded as they are a poor substitute for the real thing, and while certainly cheaper, they do not provide anything like the performance increases that you’re looking for.
