How do you permanently disable parking sensors?

To disable them, just press the press the parking sensor button. This button should toggle whatever mode the sensors are in. When parking straight ahead, I typically toggle them on to avoid impacting the front bumper (assuming you have the optional front sensors).

How does the ufrpa parking sensor system work?

UFRPA operates at speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph). The sensors on the front and rear bumper detect objects up to 1.2m (4 ft) in front of the vehicle, 2.5 m (8 ft) behind the vehicle, and at least 25.4 cm (10 in) off the ground. How the System Works UFRPA comes on automatically when the shift lever is moved into R (Reverse).
