How do you permanently disable parking sensors?
To disable them, just press the press the parking sensor button. This button should toggle whatever mode the sensors are in. When parking straight ahead, I typically toggle them on to avoid impacting the front bumper (assuming you have the optional front sensors).
Can you turn off park assist?
To enable the ParkSense Active Park Assist system, push the ParkSense Active Park Assist switch once (LED turns on). To disable the ParkSense Active Park Assist system, push the ParkSense Active Park Assist switch again (LED turns off).

Where do the beeps from the parking sensors come from?
High-toned beeps from the front speakers are for objects detected near the front bumper. Low-toned beeps from the rear speakers are for objects detected near the rear bumper. The interval between the beeps becomes shorter as the vehicle gets closer to the obstacle.

How does the ufrpa parking sensor system work?
UFRPA operates at speeds less than 8 km/h (5 mph). The sensors on the front and rear bumper detect objects up to 1.2m (4 ft) in front of the vehicle, 2.5 m (8 ft) behind the vehicle, and at least 25.4 cm (10 in) off the ground. How the System Works UFRPA comes on automatically when the shift lever is moved into R (Reverse).
