How do I connect my ipad to my Jeep?

Is it true that Jeep is in contact with Apple?
Jeep says it is being provided by Apple and that they are in contact with Apple. Apple tells me that it is up to Uconnect to make an update to their software. Not sure who to believe. Anyway neither one can give me any kind of status.
Why does my iPod Nano not work with my iPod Touch?
When I hook up my iPod nano it seems to work fine but it won’t work with my iPod touch. Is there an update or patch that I could download to make it work? If not, is there anything else I can do?
