Are there any lights under the hood of a Mazda 3?
There are no lights under the hood, but is there a relay (as previously mentioned in the thread), so is there any relay that would be activated when the hood is popped? I also thinking of hooking up an ammeter up to the battery to see if there is any juice flowing when there shouldn’t be, but not sure if the keyless entry system draws any current.

If you stay in the car with the engine off and close the door you will hear a humming sound for about 1 minute. If you pop the trunk the humming noise will not stop. It will drain the battery. I asked the dealer about personalization options and he said the ones labeled interior lighting did not apply to the trunk light.

I’ll post on the personalization guide thread and ask if anybody knows what it does. To make matters worse, the Mazda 3 is a frustrating car to jump start. I have the pushbutton start, so sometimes, the battery can have enough charge to power up the electronics, but not enough to crank.
