Do you have to wear a mask at the Indianapolis Zoo?
Masks are not required at the Zoo, including in indoor spaces. Anyone who wants to wear a mask is welcome to do so. Your admission includes full access to all exhibits at the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens.
How long does it take to walk through the Indianapolis Zoo?
The standard admission for high-demand days is $28.20 for adults and $21.20 for children. If you want to go during the week, that fee drops to $15.70 and $11.95, the same as a high-end movie. Moreover, it probably will take you four hours to do everything at the zoo.

Dolphin In-Water Adventure at the Indianapolis Zoo Washington St. Cost: $205 for zoo members and $250 for nonmembers, plus zoo admission fee, to get in the water with dolphins. To observe the dolphin adventure, cost is zoo admission fee, plus $30 for a zoo member and $40 for a nonmember.
Can you take food into Indianapolis Zoo?
Can I bring a cooler/food and beverages into the Zoo? For health and safety reasons, we do not allow coolers to be carried into the Zoo. We also don’t allow food, or drinks with disposable lids and straws.

The In-Water experience takes place in the Dolphin Adventure pool located behind the main performance pool and stage area in the St. Vincent Dolphin Pavilion. This salt-water pool is 18 feet deep with a wide ledge that is 3 feet, 6 inches below the water.

We have visited other zoos that had signage prohibiting concealed carry in all buildings, but not in the zoo itself. It is not illegal to carry in an establishment that has signs prohibiting concealed carry, but it is illegal if they ask you to leave and you do not.
