Are brake lights and turn signals the same bulb?
On some vehicles, emergency and turn signal bulbs are the same as those used for the brake lights. If you turn on your emergency flashers or turn signals, and the bulbs don’t light up. There is a good chance that bulb is not working. Have someone step on the brake pedal while you look at the back end of the vehicle.
Why is my passenger side brake light not working?
The brake light (passenger side) went out. I replaced the bulb and the other one while I was at it. But the passenger side brake light still doesn’t work. Even tried switching bulbs to use the one that I knew was working on driver’s side, but still wouldn’t work on passenger side. I see that there’s only one fuse control for both lights.

Once the socket has been removed it will expose the bulb which may have a burned mark or be light blue in color which indicates a leak in the glass. In either case the bulb is no good. Grasp the bad bulb and pull it from the light socket. Some bulbs you will need to push down and twist counterclockwise.
