Why is the blower on my Renault Megane not working?

Second hand motors for the Megane III were shown on Ebay around £90 and I had seen one Forum post where someone had been quoted £1000+ to replace the blower motor – This is a “massive” (in my opinion) job.

No fan on 1,2,3 or 4 setting (man air con). Local garage have checked fuses, wiring and control panel and can’t find anything wrong. they said they couldn’t locate the resistor pack. Does anybody know the whereabouts of the resistor pack in a scenic 3?

A couple of months ago I noticed that the air con on my 2007 Megane was not blowing cold air. I booked it in at my local Renault specialist to have the air con system fully serviced. They drained, regassed and checked the tightness of the air con and reportedly found no leaks.

Answer: it was leaking gas from the condenser and a/c pressure switch. So, a new condenser has been fitted along with a new pressure switch. They then regassed the system, made sure there was no leaks and everything was working as it should. But, once again the air coming from the vents when the a/c is switched on is not ice cold.
