I am looking for the reason in black and white, but assume it’s because it dries out the air and along with the heater raises the dew point.

The button will light up. On the 05’s and up you have to shut the car off to turn off the AC no matter how you turned it on. Its in the manual. Not on max AC…

Take glove box out on passenger side. Upper left corner is Blower Fan Knock on it. If it comes on it is going out will need to replace. Blower fan will not come on at all? Check Fuses & Blower Fan? Fuses replaced for blower fan,took blower fan out and tested it and it worked? Well it has to be you climate control panel nothing else to check!
