Why is my Nissan Xterra overheating while idling?
My xterra has been overheating when the a/c is on,and I am idling.I have read several people had the same problem. It seems the most common fix is to replace the radiator. Is there a specific radiator I should look for that would be better over another.

Today, my Xterra started over heating. Yes, today is one of the hotter days we’ve had in Southern Indiana this year, but not the hottest my Xterra has been in. Everything is fine while moving. Both fans are running when it goes above normal temp. A/C gets hot while idling (even in shade) and temp starts to increase.

Mine always ran a bit hot but I recently replaced the thermostat, fan clutch and water temp sensor and now it runs a fair bit cooler. It idles at about 183F and gets up to maybe 200F on a long highway drive in the middle of the day.

Why does my Altima have no heat at idle?
Well now that it has been cold I am noticing other issue. I have no heat at idle or low rpm’s. The heat only kicks in when I am driving at higher speeds. From searching on the internet I see this being an issue with Altima’s and people suggest there is a bubble or air in the system..

The heads should always be magnafluxed and inspected by a machine shop for cracks and warping and resurfaced each time the gasket is done. Also likely the repeated unresolved overheating is causing the head gaskets to go bad. So you need to get to the root of the over heating problem.
