Why is MY 08 ML320 CDI in limp mode?
My 08 ML320 CDI is throwing the P1402 CEL code. I’d had trouble right at the end of last winter with it going into limp mode on extremely cold days. and it’s done it again the last couple of days (we’ve had highs about +6 F or so). Having just done the P2015 swirl motor bypass, I’d like to have it stay out of limp mode for a while now.

There is a bolt holding the sensor to the chassis and another holding the hoses via a clamping plate. Removing the hoses will provide extra slack to remove and replace the sensor.
