thanks chad. Regarding the Hilux 2012, this vehicle currently features a temperature compensating alternator. That being said, an SBI12 can be used with great results. This will isolate your starter battery allowing the jump start feature if you have a flat battery. Alternatively, you could use one of the BCDC in vehicle battery chargers.
