Why does my Traxter 500 bike not start?
The bike would crank, likely because I rerouted the starter button several years ago. When someone pulled me to the road, I tried the bike again and it fired right up. It then quit several more times, but I was able to restart; I think because I was shaking and rocking it. It finally quit and would not start and had to be trailored.
How much does a new Traxter 500 cost?
Tried the bike while under tow several times, when almost back home it started. As again when the bike quits, it seems dead; headlights do not work. Priced a new MPEM $1600.
Why did my Traxter 500 quit in the rain?

When there is no spark, the headlights also do not work. We found the headlight wire, and it had power in to the mpem, but no power coming out. all the connectors look good. Does anyone know if this means it is the mpem?

What to do if your Traxter 500 has no spark?
a. defective, improperly set, worn out, fouled. identify source of problem and correct. replace spark plugs. 2. verify ignition coil resistance with an ohmmeter. a. defective part. replace ignition coil. a. defective coil. corroded connector terminal. 4. verify condition ignition coil.
What do I need to know when my ATV wont start?
