Why does my Polaris Ranger 4 wheel drive not work?
This is a new 2016 that I’ve only used twice. the 4 wheel drive worked fine last weekend when I used it. Looking at the service manual for my 2010, it looks there’s really only two/three things involved in engaging the front – the drive clutch in the front diff, the control switch, and power to it (plus various connectors).
Where are the 2 wires on a Polaris ATV?
If you look at the wiring harness that comes out of the AWD switch and runs along the handle there are 2 wires your looking for.

First thing to do is clean and check all you connections, after that if the speedo still is not working, chances are you need a new speedo. Everything is working on the cluster the needle just doesnt move. I have found that my AWD is intermittant. One of the issues is that the starter switch (red button) does not make a good connection.

Only thing that has power is the instrument panel. I cleaned all the power and ground cables, check fuses, rotated relays. Also the switch on the brake, if that was a problem I think it will start in neutral without depressing brake and of course this wouldn’t cause the other problems it is having.

As the fuel level in the bowl fills up the float pushes a needle valve up into a seat to cut the flow of fuel off. Once fuel is used up the float falls and lets more fuel in.
