Why does my Kia Rio make a ticking sound?
There’s a possibility the oil pressure is low, lifters will make a ticking sound when this occurs. From my experience and others from what I’ve read these engines are notorious for sludge build up inside the engine due to perhaps low quality oils or neglect by not servicing.
Why does my Kia Rio go into limp mode?
Other problems… Car goes into limp mode after driving for at least 1/2 hour and heater coolant fan refuse to work. Change engine oil temp sensors still in limp mode I have fuel in my Kia and I have a great battery in my Kia but when I turn the key switch the motor wont start if I cross the starter over the engine will start.

What kind of wire do I need to hook up my tachometer?
Use the SIG 1 (In-Dash Tach) or purple wire (Pedestal Mount Tach) input (see “Signal Hookup” in the instructions). If you have a modern ignition system and your ECU (computer) has a dedicated 12V tachometer signal output you can use this to drive the tachometer.
