Why does my Jaguar say battery not charging?
You need to get the batteries off and recharge them fully before you do anything else. leave them for a while to see if they are at around 12.6 v which means they are fully charged and have held it . Then refit ,start the car and you should see it go instantly to around 14.6 or there about.

My 3 year old XF on occasions, during start shows a red battery symbol, has always fired up and doesn’t show the red battery symbol at every start. To be honest, I have never thought it as a problem, more the vehicle is telling me whats happening during the start cycle.

Where do I find the low battery warning on my Jaguar?
The centre display panel on the home page, not selected to standby. It took 11 minutes for the “Warning Low Battery, Please switch the engine on or the entertainment system will shut down in 3 minutes” to be displayed in the centre UI display. At this point the battery voltage had fallen to 11.98V as measured by the multi meter.

How much has the Jaguar XF cost so far?
So far I have spent over £1200.00 on the car with another £1250.00bill (Jaguar are paying half, big deal) for when I collect the car tomorrowafter a problem with the ‘fan module’ what ever that is!! The XF does seem prone to battery issues judging by the number of comments across the forum.
Can a Cetek Charger be connected to a 13 XF 3.0 s Sportbrake?
My owners’ manual says that the battery of my ’13 XF 3.0 S Sportbrake should be disconnected in order to charge it. Is this really necessary? The car will not be used for about 6 weeks whilst I recover from a shoulder joint replacement, so my intention was/is to connect my Cetek ‘intelligent’ charger to keep it topped up.
Can you take a Jaguar XF out of the garage?
No problem! If you read the handbook then you’d never take it out of the garage. Just about everything beyond filling up the tank is accompanied by a warning that “this should only be attempted by a qualified Jaguar technician” I though half the manual had been written by an intern in the their legal department trying to show off.
