Have you checked the chaincase gasket. They have been know to leak or be replaced wrong. Where are you finding the fluid? its not chain case oil its VES, its coming from the bottom of my belly pan on the underside. did you put in alot of fogging oil and it ran out the Y pipe. I would also check out all the oil lines may have one cracked or broke.

Some metal filings will be normal wear and tear. Place the cover back on the chain case and secure it with the bolts you removed. Tighten it snugly, but not so tight as to strip the aluminum chain case bolt holes. Add oil to the chain case in the quantity recommended by Polaris.
