Where is the heater located in a Boxster?
The fan (“blower motor”) that blows either hot or cold air into the cabin is located under the dashboard, at the passenger’s (right) side. What to do if your Boxster engine has no heat?
If you find that the level dropped, you have most likely hit on the solution to your lack of heat problem. Do not open the coolant fill cap while the engine is hot, you could get scalded. Put a rag over the cap as you are unscrewing it for extra safety.
Are there any problems with the 986 Boxster?
The upgraded aos features a doubling in size of capacity for scavenging and is less prone to sucking up oil during high speed cornering. M96 engines fitted to the 986 and 987 Boxster can have issues with a bearing at one end of the engine intermediate shaft. The shaft connects the two ends of the engine timing gear.
How does the window work on a 996 Boxster?
I have seen a lot of window issues in boxsters and 996’s lately. The general operation of the door glass is simple in the 2 cars. Basically, when you pull the the door handle (inner or outer), the window glass will drop about a 1/2″ to allow for smooth opening of the door. When the door shuts, the window will raise back into place.

A good (and easy) way to start is to simply lift the bleeder valve lever, which is located under the thin black plastic cover on top of the reservoir tank. Here is a photo of the bleed valve and lever:
Why is the interior heater in my car not working?
Yesterday my interior heater was working, this morning when I went driving there is no heat or hot air blowing from the vents. Air is blowing from vents but not hot/warm. Can anyone tell me what I need to check for or do? is it a simple fix like a fuse? You can remove these ads by becoming a Contributing Member. fan isn’t working ,or ?
Is it okay to have no heat in the radiator?
Since you don’t have any antifreeze odor (or fumes/coating on the inside of the windshield) then your heater core (which is just a very small radiator) is probably not leaking, so it should be okay too.
