What kind of oil does my trailboss take?
Any quality 2 stoke synthetic oil will be fine. It doesn’t need anything special. The trick is not to switch brands constantly. So pick a brand that you can easily get, and you’re comfortable with the price. Sometimes two stroke oils don’t mix well if you use a different brand each time. The tranny uses Polaris AGL fluid.
Where does the oil go in a Polaris trailboss?
As the piston comes down to the bottom of the stroke, it passes by and exposes the intake port. The piston moving down creates a vacuum and sucks in some of the fuel/oil mix. Momentum causes the piston to begin it’s travel back up, passing by the intake and exhaust ports, essentially closing them off.
