What kind of warranty does BMW F650GS have?
Just ask if it has the latest software. A BMW mechanic told me that the F650GS has the lowest warranty claim rate of any bike BMW makes. I don’t know whether this is on a unit basis or on the amount of claim (the latter wouldn’t be as impressive).
When did the BMW F650GS go out of production?
The F650GS was replaced by the BMW F700GS in 2013. It retained the same parallel twin engine, though. There’s an online forum for this bike at BMW F650.co.uk .
Is the BMW F650GS a 750cc bike?
The BMW F650GS isn’t actually a 650cc bike. Oh no, it’s a 798cc parallel twin in much the same way that BMW’s all-new 2018 F750GS isn’t a 750 either, it’s 853cc. Confused? This innumeracy is simply BMW’s way of distinguishing the road-targeted model from the more aggressive off-road middleweight GS.
Is the 02 F650GS a good bike?
The guy that was selling the 02 F650GS also had an 01 R1150GS for sale, which I test-rode right after the F650. It is a fantastic bike, and I could defintely see owning one someday.

Is the BMW F650 a ” sexy ” bike?
The F650 isn’t particularly quick or fast. It’s not “sexy” like my old Ducatis. It’s not as imposing as my big GS. It’s just fun. Sits up taller than the sportbikes and much more nimble than the R-bike.
