What is TRAC and VSC?
First things first, what does this feature do? As many of you probably already know, VSC stands for Vehicle Stability Control. VSC is largely connected to Traction Control (TRAC), both of which help to keep your car stabilized when driving on slippery roads or in other adverse weather or road conditions.
How do I fix my VSC on my Toyota?
VSC Light Easy Fix
- Make sure you are completely stopped. Put the car in park if you can.
- Press and hold the VSC button for a few seconds.
- The TRAC OFF and VSC OFF indicator light will come on. Both systems are now off.
- Press the VSC button again. Both lights will turn off and the systems are now reengaged.
Are there any problems with the Toyota Sequoia Trac?
2001 Sequoia VSC Trac Problems…. My wife had told me once or twice about a problem she was having with her Sequoia. She said the “VSC Trac” light and the the “Trac Off” light had come on and that the car had slid on the road. I took the vehicle out and could not make it do as she described. This went on for about a year until today.
Why is the engine light not on on my Sequoia VSC?
Click to expand… Check Engine light was not on. The dealer charged me $50 to check it and came up with code C1363, which was the brake pedal force switch. I just installed the booster a few days ago and so far no trouble with VSC but I have not driven it too much yet. Thanks for the info.
Why are the ABS lights coming on on my 2001 Sequoia?
I had this exact same problem with my 2001 Toyota Sequoia. After doing lots of research, and running my own diagnostics, I located the source of the problem. Turns out that the Wheel Speed Sensor is causing the problem that causes the VSC Trac and ABS lights to come on.
Are there any recalls on the Toyota Sequoia?
This sounds like an ECU problem, it’s a known problem on the older cars, but Toyota won’t recognize it for a recall. They are very expensive to fix, about $1500-$2000 to at the dealer and it is a safety hazard for it not to be working as you found out.
