Is Champion Spark Plug CJ8Y an acceptable replacemet for CJ8? Finding the Champion Spark Plug CJ8 sold out, I was informed by the mower repair shop that the Champion CJ8Y was an acceptable replacement. I purchased it, but after researching I’m inclined to believe it should NOT be used to replace the CJ8.
