Okay well I found a good deal on an Intruder 1400 that has 24k miles, a new rear tire, but is currently not running (it has been sitting up for 8 months). The guy is asking $700 OBO and I figure I could probably pick it up for $500 or so which seems like a steal of a deal to me. I’m new to intruders but am experienced working on bikes.
Why does my VL250 intruder stall after Idle?
When it’s hot, and I idle at a light for (usually) more than 30 seconds, it LOVES to stall. About 60% of the time high-revving will prevent it….but I look like a jerk and that isn’t good for the bike. If it dies, restarting only happens with it at WOT and it struggles to catch.
