Is there a problem with the key on a Vito 109cdi?
The only problem is that when I push the key into the barrel nothing happens it does not do it all the time though! I have to remove the key from the barrel and push it in the barrel hard, several times. On some occasions it has taken me 5-10 minutes before the key has worked.
Why is there a fan running in my Mercedes Vito?
I recently was sent a question with regard the hearing of a fan noise/running in the cabin of the Mercedes Vito W639 when everything is turned off. This noise is often mistaken as the ventilation fan (blower) running, even though the fan position switch is at the off position. Here is the original question: Message:
Where is the fuse box on a Vito W639?
Just as a point of note the fuse box/ECU cooling fan is at the bottom of the plastic fuse box housing in the engine bay (picture above) and once its bearings get a little worn the box aids to amplify the noisy fan motion and it appears quite loud in the cabin area, often mistaken as the cabin ventilation fan running. Where is the ignition key on a Mercedes Benz?
The end of the key inserts into the ignition barrel on the dash which is all plastic. Normally when the key is pushed into the barrel the ignition lights illuminate and then the key can be turned to switch the ignition on and then start the vehicle.
What kind of ignition key does a Vito 109cdi have?
I have a Vito 109cdi and it has what I can only describe as an electronic key, it is plastic and has three buttons on it. The end of the key inserts into the ignition barrel on the dash which is all plastic.
