Have a great season. From this point on, all vendors/mfg’s promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums. I just had my two 2013 Pro RMK 800 sleds serviced.
What was the cause of a RMK engine failure?
We purchased 3-700 RMK’s, brand new, one an 07′ the others are 08′. All 3 engines failed between 950 and 1,200 miles. Cause of engine failures was skirt scoring and a holes in the mag side piston resulting in loss of compression. Dealer rebuilt one engine and it failed exactly as before at 82 miles.
What’s the compression on the 800 pro RMK?
One showed a 110 compression on both the PTO and MAG side. The other was 125 on both. Does anyone know what the factory tolerances are? What are you guys seeing on yours? Do you know what it is supposed to be? I would take a look at the pistons on the 110 psi sled. Can be viewed by removing the power valves.
