Had a/c problems about a year ago. A/c would intermittently work. Pretty bad during daytime operation. Anyways took it to local mechanic. He said the compressor was on its way out. 30 seconds later his helper comes out and says he got it working.

Why does my Altima go limp at high RPM?
I think mine might be the acceleration pedal sensor isn’t communicating properly with the ECM or the throttle position sensor. This theory is supported by the high rpm issue which might be the car going into “limp in mode” which is to allow the owner to drive the car to the nearest shop when accelerator issues occur.
